Statement from Nick Laird, Chief Executive Officer
Valued Families, School Partners, and Community Members,
I want to sincerely apologize directly to all of you regarding the recently identified security vulnerability in the Ravenna HUB portal. We understand the seriousness of this matter and the trust you place in us to safeguard your information.
Upon being notified of the issue, we temporarily took the HUB portal offline as a precaution and deployed a fix the same day.
Based on our investigation to date, this issue required a user to be logged into their existing HUB portal account to potentially view another user’s HUB profile. This did not involve compromised passwords or a hack. It also did not allow any access to passwords, financial information, or the core Ravenna admissions application system used by schools.
Out of an abundance of caution and in the interest of transparency, we are notifying families whose accounts may have been within the potential scope of this vulnerability. Receiving a notification does not mean that we have confirmed that specific information was accessed.
Our teams remain fully mobilized to support families and school partners. If you have questions or would like more information regarding your account, please refer to our official security update page or contact our support team directly. The official page can be viewed here: https://www.ravennasolutions.com/resource/security-update-regarding-the-ravenna-hub-portal/. Our review remains ongoing and we will provide periodic updates on our official page.
We understand that privacy and security are important to you. As our review progresses, we are committed to transparency and to strengthening our safeguards to help prevent similar issues in the future.
Thank you for your continued trust.

Clarification Regarding Scope of the Ravenna HUB Security Vulnerability
The recently identified security vulnerability occurred in the profile page section of the Ravenna HUB portal environment, which allows families to enter a limited amount of demographic information. The identified issue did not extend to the core Ravenna admissions application system used by schools to manage application workflows, admissions decisions, or supporting documentation.
Our investigation remains ongoing, and we continue to review system logs as part of our incident response protocol.
Updated 2/23/2026 7:08 AM ET
On February 18, 2026, VenturEd Solutions was notified of a security vulnerability in the Ravenna Hub portal that could have allowed someone who was already logged into the portal with their own access credentials to view the profile of another user by altering an ID value in the URL path. This did not involve unauthenticated access or compromised credentials.
Upon notification, we immediately initiated our incident response protocol. As a precautionary measure, we temporarily took the platform offline while the fix was implemented, tested, and deployed to production. The issue was fully remediated in under two hours from initial notification on February 18.
The vulnerability was not the result of an external attack, and our initial analysis of platform logs and traffic patterns indicates usage volumes consistent with normal platform activity. At this time, we have no evidence of systematic scraping, automation, or large-scale data extraction. Our review of system activity remains ongoing
Based on our current assessment:
- The issue required a user to already be authenticated and logged in.
- There is no evidence of password compromise or external system intrusion.
- The identified vulnerability has been addressed, and additional authorization safeguards have been implemented
