School administrators may not typically have the same day-to-day impact on student learning and growth as their teacher counterparts, but the work they do to keep schools financially sound ensures success for generations.
That impact is seen in recent data from the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), touting a 70.5-percent yield rate across private schools for the 2022-23 school year, part of a steady increase since a pre-pandemic 68.1-percent yield rate. As evidenced by these growing enrollment rates, administrators have gotten better at selling school impact and creating deeper bonds with prospective families.
VenturEd Solutions was proud to attend and sponsor the 2025 National Business Officers Association (NBOA) Annual Meeting and Business Solutions Showcase held in New York City to celebrate the impact of administrators and school officials.
This year, over 1,300 attendees gathered for a week full of discussions with experts on the business side of school operations.

What We Learned
The 2025 NBOA Annual Meeting kicked off with a keynote presentation from Kyle Scheele, a TikToker and creative known for his innovative ideas that have garnered hundreds of millions of views. Known as “The Patron Saint of Crazy Ideas,” Scheele’s talk resonated with attendees as he shared inspiration that applied to school business officials of all experience levels.
Additional sessions and lectures featured topics covering trends and strategies on enrollment, finance operations, tuition, and much more. There was even a special program track featuring presentations tailored to boarding school business officers.
But it wasn’t just speakers we heard from. Our team talked to the hundreds of school administrators working in business offices and HR departments to better understand what we can do to meet customer, market, and ultimately student needs.
It’s always great to hear from our customers, and it’s even better to hear their incredible success stories. In talking to one of our customers, a local independent school of more than 350 students, we found out their applications nearly doubled from 130 to over 250 in just their first year with Ravenna Admit!
“Going to the NBOA Annual Meeting and hearing how our customers overcome challenges is inspiring given the work these teams put in to make every student successful,” said Hank Sadler, Senior Customer Account Manager at VenturEd Solutions. “Knowing our technology helps these schools reach their growth potential and further their mission is a special feeling, and we’re happy to help our customers however we can.”
