Connecting and Celebrating Growth: Community Brands’ Journey at the NBOA Annual Meeting

March 1, 2024 | read

Community Brands was thrilled to join the NBOA Annual Meeting & Business Solutions Showcase in Atlanta, Georgia, this February! Known as the “city in a forest,” where the lush tree canopy sets the stage for this year’s theme of “rooted in excellence, growing together.”

Like the roots of a thriving tree, independent school operations are the core of a school’s mission and community growth. At this annual conference, hundreds of independent school leaders and service providers come together to nurture these roots—exploring innovative practices in finance, human resources, risk management, and more. Let’s dive into our favorite moments from this year’s event!

Event Highlights

Keynote Presentation

The event started with a captivating keynote presentation by Bertice Berry, a sociologist, comedian, and bestselling author. Her talk, “Living and Working in Purpose,” resonated with attendees as she shared insights that applied to families, staff, and students alike. Other speakers, such as Shawn Kanungo and Brett Jacobsen, engaged the audience with discussions ranging from leading through change to disruptive innovation, addressing current challenges, and providing valuable solutions for the education community. If you could not join in person, but would like access to the valuable live sessions, check out NBOA’s on-demand access here!

Connecting with Our Community

At the Community Brands booth, our team got the chance to connect with over 1,000 attendees! We loved the opportunity to talk with new and existing school partners and education industry leaders in person.

“When you get to see the faces of the people that we do business with each day, understand their challenges, and give them the hope that their problems can be solved with our software, it reinforces why we are in this industry in the first place; we are helping the people that are helping our children solve the problems of the future,” shared Hank Sadler, a Senior Customer Account Manager.

All-Star Extravaganza

Next up was our VIP event—the All-Star Extravaganza held at the acclaimed Truist Park, attended by over 40 Community Brands’ VIPs! The Heavy Hitters band welcomed guests at the entrance to the suite overlooking the fresh new field at Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves Major League Baseball team. Guests enjoyed an exclusive stadium tour, delicious food, and the chance to connect.

Our team extends a heartfelt thank you to all our guests for contributing to the success of this year’s conference. Whether you stopped by our booth or joined us at the All-Star Extravaganza, your presence and engagement are sincerely appreciated.
