Community Brands gathered in Reno, Nevada, from April 7 to 10, 2024, for the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS) Annual Conference! The event brought together over 500 independent school technology leaders, innovators, and educational technology experts, providing a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration.

Keynote Sessions

The conference featured keynote sessions and workshops offering valuable insights and actionable strategies spanning data and institutional research, education technology, IT and cybersecurity, and leadership. Here are a few key topics that were covered in the keynote sessions.

Navigating the Road Ahead for Independent Schools

Jeffrey Shields, President and CEO of the National Business Officers Association, provided invaluable insights into the future landscape of independent schools. Jeffrey spoke about how technology leaders can partner with schools to mitigate risk and help independent schools achieve long-term stability.

“As a business office professional, he captivated the audience with insights into how the tech department and business office are the dual pillars of a successful school. He emphasized collaboration over silos and how integrating these two departments enhances services for faculty, administrators, parents, and students,” shared Callee Grisham, Senior Customer Account Manager at Community Brands.

Preparing Our Learners for an AI-Affected Workplace

Artificial intelligence (AI) has been a trending topic in schools. A panel of corporate executives and industry experts explored artificial intelligence’s educational implications, offering insights into how schools can equip students for the rapidly evolving job market.

Tee Off the Night by Community Brands

Community Brands was delighted to host the VIP Golf Event, “Tee Off the Night with Community Brands,” at the Grand Bay Driving Range. Attendees enjoyed over-the-water golf while enjoying delectable hors d’oeuvres and premium beverages. “Meeting face-to-face with our community is truly meaningful. Building deeper connections beyond our daily routines and learning about the impactful changes school leaders are making in their communities is something I truly cherish during our VIP events,” expressed Rebecca Mendoza, Senior Director of Marketing.
